Live Jazz Thursday

Well it’s that time of year again… Toronto Jazz Festival time! The city is swimming with great jazz for you to choose from so make sure you get out and take advantage. Below is just a simple sampling of what’s going on over the next couple of days at the regular haunts, but be sure to check out Toronto Jazz Festival for a complete list of what going on.

Pianist Cedar Walton and trio is in for the two nights starting Friday at Opal Jazz Lounge.

Saturday catch the Steve McDade Quintett from 3:30 – 6:30PM at The Pilot, and then come back Sunday for the Del Dako.

Tonight at the Dominion on Queen you can catch some Jazz Brazil style with Que Isso?, Friday catch the Uptown
Swing Band, and Sunday don’t miss the San Murata Trio.

Tonight at Live@Courthouse you check out the Nikki Yanofsky / Steve Koven Trio, and Friday catch Freddy Cole followed by Elizabeth Shepherd. Saturday you can catch Freddy Cole again, but this time followed by Adrean Farrugia. Sunday you’ll want to makes sure you don’t miss Mike Stern, and Monday it’s the one and only Mr. Don Byron.
