Live Jazz Thursday

Sorry for missing last week, sometimes my day job can get a little hectic. Lot’s to check out this weekend and since the weathers going to be good there’s no reason for staying cooped up at home.

Afterwork at The Rex you can catch Bobby Selvaggio & Nathan Douds who are up from from Ohio, then stay for Jim Hillman’s “Merlin Factor” at 9:30pm. Friday it’s the Hogtown Syncopators warming things up before the Artie Roth Trio hit’s the stage at 6:30pm. Finaly at 9:30pm it’s Jason Logue Sextet. Saturday it’s Sara Dell followed by “Field Trip” with Kelly Jefferson at 9:30pm.

The David Braid / Hideaki Tokunaga duo is in for the first of three nights at Opal Jazz Lounge.

Saturday catch the Jake Wilkinson Quartet from 3:30 – 6:30PM at The Pilot, and then come back Sunday for the Marc Pizer Quartet.

Tonight at the Dominion on Queen you can catch the Richard Underhill Quartet, and Saturday the York Jazz Ensemble takes the stage with vocalist Sandy Fuax.

Over at Gate 403 tonight you can catch the Scott Kemp Jazz Collective, and Friday it’s the Jennifer Petrilli Duo followed by the Melissa Boyce & Kevin Lalibert at 9pm.

And finally – tonight at Live@Courthouse you check out the Mike Murley Quintet for the first of three nights. Thuesday don’t miss the Hilario Duran Big Band take the stage.
