My 4th Year Recital Revisited

Mark McLean’s compositions were originally performed in 1998 during Mark’s final year in the University of Toronto’s Jazz Performance program.Joining McLean, a distinguished graduate, are the original band members including pianist, Juno award winner and U of T faculty member David Braid, trumpeter and York University faculty member Kevin Turcotte, saxophonist, arranger and Humber College faculty member Andy Ballantyne and bassist and 2006 IAJE SOCAN Composing Competition winner Michael McLennan.

Mark McLean has received critical acclaim from audiences and musicians alike.Since graduating from U of T, Mark has performed with Oscar Peterson, Diana Krall, Jimmy Webb, Joe Sample and Andrea Bocelli.Recording highlights include Gladys Knight, Andy Bey, Peter Cincotti, the late Dewey Redman and Canadians Molly Johnson and Jane Bunnett.
