“TRANE TRACKS†a new show honoring John Coltrane will air on Sirius Radio’s channel Pure Jazz / channel 72 Saturday. The new show will feature Coltrane’s music and other artists interpreting his work.
GRAMMY-winning saxophonist Joe Lovano will guest host inaugural show on 80th anniversary of Coltrane’s birth.
Still trying to decide on going to the Dave Holland Quintet show on October 13th at The Danforth Music Hall Theatre.

Kenny Burrell – All Blues
Tonight at The Rex Vinx is in from Boston with Rich Brown’s “Rinse the Algorithm” following at 9:30pm for the first of a two night stay. Saturday sees “Far” from Montreal followed by Sara Dell at 7:00pm, and the Trish Colter Sextet at9:30pm.
Sunday Swing Rosie hits the satge and is fllowed by “Random Access” at 9:30pm.
Martin Aucoin will be performing tonight at Gate403, Friday it’s the Jeff Peacock & Jack McFadden Jazz Duo, and Saturday check out the Amanda Martinez Latin Jazz Duo. Sunday brings in the “3J” Jazz Trio from 4pm-7pm followed by the Peter Hill Jazz Duo at 8pm.
Also, tonight the Kevin Clark Quartet is in at the Boiler House restaurant from 7pm,
and Saturday Swing Rosie is at Healeys at 6 pm.
