As a guy trying to play guitar, this makes me want to go hide in a dark closet and cry…
Some of you might remember from way back that I ordered the new Lenny Breau Biography. Well it arrived yesterday just in time for the weekend… woohoo!
“I just improvise and keep it going and see what happens. Sort of like adapting to your environment and playing however that environment makes you feel. Just one big, long tune.”
- Lenny Breau
“Whoever’d think that a little Frenchmen could play like that?”
-Denny breau on his brother Lenny

Ok, its not really relevent to Toronto and just a cash grab on a guy that had alot of problems with addiction, but they are donating some of that cash grab to the Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz so I thought I’d post it up for a giggle.
The North Coast Brewing company in Fort Bragg, California would like to serve you a Brother Telonious Belgian Style Abby Ale.
“With the developing interest in Belgian abbey ales and the monasteries that brew them, it’s time to remind the world that here in the U.S., we have a Monk of our own. Jazz icon Thelonious Monk is the inspiration for North Coast Brewing’s new Belgian-style abbey ale called, appropriately enough, Brother Thelonious. The beer is being released in conjunction with the Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz, and the brewery will make a contribution to the Institute for every case sold to support jazz education.”
Still think I’m making this stuff up?
